For most Elvis fans, Las Vegas comes a close second after Graceland for locations that true fans must visit.

Many, many casinos, restaurants and museums realize this, and have at least some Elvis memorabilia or merchandise. This is the sort of thing that you’re missing out on when you play online, as great as the selection of games at www.jackpotcity.com/uk/ are, there isn’t the same pageantry. The old Elvis-A-Rama used to be the biggest of these Elvis themed attractions, but it was closed in 2006 to make way for an entire Elvis themed casino. The plans weren’t for anything small either, there would have been more than a dozen restaurants and over two thousand hotel rooms. These plans fell through though, and Elvis fans are still without any central location for their pilgrimages. A big part of the problem with the casino was simply bad timing. The economic climate could not have been worse for building a huge new casino. With casinos all over the world, and especially in Las Vegas, reporting huge losses not many companies wanted to take the risk on this one. Ultimately, the development company that took up the project went under and it seems that the entire project died with it. Since this specific casino isn’t going to be moving forward, some smaller attractions are going up to fill that gap left when Elvis-A-Rama closed.
